Stuff I Likes
Four or five years ago I bought a necklace and ring I grew so attached to, I never took them off willingly. When I was asked to take them off, so as not to offend visiting family members, I would wrap them around my ankle.
Whenever I was stressed or needed grounding, I would grab hold of the pendant and feel the heat that the pewter had absorbed. Sort of like a rosary, my necklace would calm me in times of need.
Then one day, for some probably trivial reason, I took off the necklace, and it was promptly stolen by my (ex)boyfriend. So of course, I never saw it again.
I gave up hope replacing the necklace when I called the store I had purchased it from, and they no longer carried the company that made it. I gave up hope replacing the ring when the man from the store I bought the ring from asked me why on earth I would want them to order me in a satanic ring. Instead of getting into it, I walked out.
About two years ago I randomly remembered the name of the company that made my necklace, and lo and behold, they were on the internets, and available to order! Of course, I had to wait to get a paypal account, and possibly some sort of Visa, which didn't happen until about a year ago.
Then, of course, I had problems with the ordering, through a glitch in their website, and didn't get around to contacting them until last week.
Now, theres nothing better than purchasing something you've been dying for when you're having a shitty week.
So, hopefully before I take off for a two-week long mystical journey through western Canada with PocketBuddha, I will have something to hang onto and remind me that life it totaly worth going through.
Moral of story: Online purchases always make you feel better when you've had a shitty day (or three. Because everybody knows, the more you own, the better person you are)
